Android May Get Banned In India Says Government
According to the report of DNA and PTI, it states that Google’s operating-system, “Android” may gets banned in India, because it is discovered that applications which are developed apparently hosts many adult programs which are considered unacceptable for viewing by children and these adult content applications available for free on Android phones.
According to Telecom Minister, “Kapil Sibal” requested suggestions in the media to handle the problem.
“I would like you people to suggest exactly how we should close it. If close it, you’ll attack us. I would like all of the media to get together and tell the minister how to approach it to ensure that basically find a solution, you do not attack me,” Sibal told reporters as a result of a question around the government’s action to adult programs on Android platform.
Following the problem elevated, it’s being contact towards the Google representative also. According to Google, it states that:
“Google Play developer programme policy doesn’t allow content that consists of nudity, graphic sex functions, or sexually explicit material. Google includes a zero-tolerance policy against child pornography,”
Furthermore its being states that, if Google is going to be aware with the content with child pornography, the information will be report to higher authorities, as well as remove Google accounts of people associated with the distribution.
An argument also states that, Google Play store must have label their programs based on the Google Play ratings system.
Regarding with similar problem, Indian Government have blocked 39 sites that violates the privacy of content.
