Greetings Of The Day!!!
I have just discovered a bug in the WhatsApp. Suppose my account is
expiring tomorrow (*e.g. 24/12/14*) and I don't want to pay the money to
WhatsApp to renew my account. What I have to do, Simply I would use the *change
number* feature of my WhatsApp account. I would enter an existing and
active number of my friend which has any expiration date ( *e.g. 15/12/15*
). I would just ask the person to give me verification code. I would enter
that code and my account would be changed. Same way other person would
enter my number and follow the same procedure. Means now I am using my
friend's number and my friend is now using mine. After that both of us will
again change the number to it's normal. Now if we would see my account
expiry date is *15/12/15* and my friend's account expiry is *24/12/14. *Simply
it is voiding security of two customers and giving benefit to a hacker or
to a social expert. But for the time I am that social expert. My friend's
account is expiring soon. Please have a look on it and please let me know
on the successful fix of the bug. I can also provide the screenshot but as
I am using Lumia so those would be of no use, that's why I haven't attached
anything.

Well WhatsApp don't pay bounty and Facebook refused to take this bug by replying " please report this issue directly to WhatsApp, we don't accept WhatsApp issue here".




Bug is successfully tested on all the available platform I.e. Windows, Android & iPhone.


bug is still in pending stateand needs to be fixed and WhatsApp refused to give any statement about its fixing.


so just try it enjoy it but we request don't misuse it.

What’s with the blue double check in WhatsApp?

The myth of the double check in WhatsApp has messed with the heads of many users of this IM service to the point of becoming the cause of a psychological syndrome and many, many breakups. Misinterpreting this little symbol has caused more than one romantic quarrel and now it seems the company is testing a new method to avoid such confusion: the double check will appear in blue when your message has actually been read. Problem solved?

Updated (11/05/2014): The latest version of WhatsApp (2.11.43) now officially incorporates this feature, although it may not work on all smartphone models. In other words, a grey check means the message has been sent, two grey checks that it’s been delivered to the recipient, and two blue checks that it’s been read. 

Until now, the tick marks accompanying your WhatsApp messages indicated one of two things: one tick to show that the message had been sent to the recipient and two to show it had been correctly delivered, which did not imply it had been read. The myth that the double check=message read eventually became so widespread that the company had to clarify how the ticks actually work on their official Twitter account.

Some users have begun seeing a blue double check alongside the text just like—as of a while ago now—used to occur with voice notes. The change of color meant that the recording had been played and although WhatsApp spokespeople have not yet released statements to the effect, it seems they are now testing this feature in messages.

Since there has not been an official statement, these are just suppositions but other users have also started seeing a double check in group chats where normally only one would appear, meaning everything indicates that WhatsApp is at minimum planning a few changes to appear in coming updates. In fact, the Italian website AndroidWorld has discovered a new file in the WhatsApp APK called “message got read receipt from target”.

While this new feature may end the confusion surrounding the original double-check syndrome, it of course won’t eliminate the problem. How many people do you know who are constantly checking a person’s last connection time or online status? Now you’ll no longer have the excuse that you haven’t read that message.

Twitter Launches Digits – A Password Free Login Service For App Developers

ere’s a good news for app developers. On Wednesday at Twitter’s first annual developer conference Flight, the company announced a new tool for developers which will allow users to log-in to mobile applications using their phone numbers rather than a traditional username and password combinations.

The service will be called Digits, aimed at application developers looking for an easier, password-free login option for their mobile applications – in a similar way to Snapchat, WhatsApp and Viber that rely only on verified users’ mobile numbers for sign-in, rather than the traditional ID and password combination.

"This is an entirely new native mobile sign up service that makes mobile-first sign-up frictionless, and creates an identity relationship entirely between you and your users," said Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, speaking at the Twitter Flight developer conference in San Francisco.

DEVELOPERS DON’T TRUST TWITTER

On one hand, where other social networking companies encouraged third-party developers to develop their own applications and services on top of the platform. Twitter always tried to reassert control over its product and platform and therefore being hated by developer community, but this new move will definitely solve this all.

According to the app developer Marco Arment, Twitter can’t be trusted again. "We’re just innocent bystanders getting hit whenever this fundamentally insecure, jealous, unstable company changes direction, which happens every few years," wrote Arment, who most recently developed Overcast, an app for listening to podcasts. "Twitter will never, and should never, have any credibility with developers again."

HOW DIGITS WORKS

Basically, Digits uses SMS messages to control access to registered accounts. When a developer adds Digits to its application, the user will be able to sign-in to that application using his or her mobile phone number.

Once the user provides the mobile phone number, Twitter will send a verification code on the provided mobile number via an SMS. User then enters that the SMS-based confirmation code to the log-in, and have access to the application. Note that each code Twitter sends you via SMS will expire after it's used. The process is just like a two-step verification one.

INTRODUCING FABRIC

Digits is one of many products announced at the developers conference in San Francisco. The company also introduced Fabric – a free software development kit for apps. Fabric will have three components:

• MoPub – It is a mobile advertising platform bought by Twitter for $350m last year. It will help developers monetise their products on the Twitter platform.
• Crashlytics – Crash reporting service, Crashlytics, bought by Twitter for $100m in 2013, will help developers test and build their apps as well as debug them.
• TwitterKit – It enables apps to integrate into Twitter for streamlining real-time information. For example, the popular transport app Citymapper will now Tweet live updates from San Francisco’s Bart train system to users. TwitterKit allows developers to embed Tweets natively, as well as allows users to log into apps via Twitter.

"Fabric was built with ease of use in mind," Twitter's director of product, Jeff Seibert, wrote in a blog post. "Installation takes just minutes, and most features only require a few lines of code—so you spend less time managing SDKs and more time building the best experience for your users."

You can also go to the Digits website, which looks very basic at this time, in order to know more about it. Digits is launching now in 216 countries and 28 languages, which represents a serious move from Twitter’s end in terms of owning a piece of the mobile landscape.

 Procedure to Run more than one WhatsApp account on your Android Device
Note:-First of All Install SwitchMe app and after that follow the below Steps

1.)Run the SwitchMe app and create two different profile to run two different accounts of WhatsApp. These two profiles will have their own different different system settings, Apps and Data.

2.)The First user Profile created by user will work as an Administrator by default and this Profile will contain all the Apps,settings and data which you are having currently on your device.This Profile Will Contain your First WhatsApp Account.

3.)The Second Profile is Virtual and new, and this Profile will have it's own Settings, Apps and Data.


Do the Following in SwitchMe app:-

Switch to this account—> Set up your phone for this account
And Then
—>Open Play Store—> Install/Download  WhatsApp.
Now, register WhatsApp for your second SIM in this profile.

Facebook is now the legal owner of WhatsApp

 

 Facebook Inc closed its acquisition of mobile messaging service WhatsApp on Monday, with the final price tag rising an additional $3 billion to roughly $22 billion because of the increased value of Facebook's stock in recent months. 

WhatsApp founder Jan Koum will receive nearly $2 billion in stock, vesting over a four-year period, as an inducement for him to stay with the company, according to a regulatory filing on Monday. 

The acquisition, which Facebook announced in February and recently received regulatory approval in Europe, underscores the sky-rocketing values of fast-growing Internet startups, and the willingness of established players such as Facebook and Google Inc to pay out for them. 

WhatsApp, which has more than 600 million monthly users, is among a new crop of mobile messaging and social media apps that have become increasingly popular among younger users. Snapchat, a privately owned mobile app that allows users to swap photos that can disappear after a few seconds, is raising money at a $10 billion valuation, according to media reports. 

Facebook paid $4.59 billion in cash and 178 million shares of its stock for WhatsApp, as well 46 million of grants in restricted stock units for WhatsApp employees that will vest over a four year period. At Monday's opening Facebook share price of $77.17, the deal translates to roughly $21.8 billion. 

Koum, who will serve as WhatsApp Chief Executive and become a Facebook director, will earn a $1 annual salary, similar to Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg. Koum will receive 24.9 million Facebook restricted stock units, worth roughly $1.9 billion at Monday's share price. 

WhatsApp, which has more than 70 employees, will continue to be based at its Mountain View, California, location.
